I've just finished reading a new book, added to the bookroll: "Trust Me, I'm Lying" by Ryan Holiday. I found it a bit tough to get through. Or perhaps, more accurately, to choke down.

Ironically, it's about how blogging is used as a source by the media, plus how it can be manipulated for profitable and/or destructive purposes.

In our era of Fake News, these are the sources: blogs like this one, and facebook. Though to be more accurate, other blogs - this one will never become mainstream. Something that I'm glad of, it allows me to keep it as an outlet for the bullshit that I see in the world. The stuff that I'd rather not spout to my acquaintances - why fuck them off by shitting over all their illusions? Just asking for trouble.

Vegans, climate alarmists, pro-lifers, leftists/socialists, anti-/pro-gun, feminists, etc. It's their religion. Some members are more fanatical - even completely fruitcake - than others. Shit on their religion? How hard do you want to be slammed into the wall?

As Ryan Holiday states, referring to public crucifixions in the manipulated media: No wonder only morons and narcissists enter the public sphere. Unless you have the millions to 

That's a thought which has always been a little uncomfortable for myself. Narcissism and hubris, having a blog, thinking that it will of some value to someone else. Trying to avoid being too click-bait-y, wondering if it's just self-wanking horseshit at times.

At any rate, we see it everywhere in the manosphere. Various of the well-known coming out with books and the like. Anything to monetize. Especially now that the value of advertising - and especially YouTube - has dropped like a stone. Snake oil salesmen. Amplifying the inner pain, selling a "sure-fire-guaranteed" anodyne.

Here, let me jab you in your most painful spots with a red-hot poker - call you a pussy when you walk away from me - hold you up as a shining example of a pussy for all the others to see when you don't rise to my bait - and sell my snake-oil anyway. Either way, you are gonna help feed me, motherfucker.

Wonderful mentality.

In a medium which is so ephemeral, it's easy to fake authority. Amusingly, that's what many self-help books are all about: fake it until you make it. Fake authority until you start bringing in some $$$ - a self-reinforcing feedback loop.

WikiPedia, touted as a free online encyclopedia. Started (possibly) with the best intentions in the world. Result: articles being fucked around with willy-nilly by whoever on the staff has an axe to grind today. More irony: you can still use it as a reference in college/university, which goes to show how low things have fallen.

Fuck Fake News - fake information. So one day the media decides to do (or someone fakes them into doing) a snow-job on Julian Assange of WikiLeaks and turn him from an information hero into a "creepy rapist" with the help of some very questionable sources. How soon do you think it will be until that potential disinformation gets into WikiPedia?

InfoGalactic? Are you absolutely certain that is not being subtly fucked with in some manner? Like climate alarmists: "I know that I was wrong the last 100 times, but you should trust me now!" Like the boy who cried wolf: "Help! Trust me! What do you mean I'm lying...oh shit..."

Sounds just like a false rape accusation, doesn't it? What happens when the boy has cried wolf one time too many?

Originally, the News made certain to get the truth. Sadly, the old days of Walter Cronkite and co are long, long gone.

Nothing becomes true any more. Nothing becomes trusted any more. There is no authority.

Let me describe what could be called the nightmare scenario, in this world where everything is electronic. All information. Nothing is physical any more. It all exists on computer chips and hard drives, both spinning-rust and solid-state.

What do we do when that information is scrambled?

It could be. Very easy to do. The cause can range from the prosaic, through to the semi-apocalyptic.

Data corruption. Spinning rust degrades. Solid state drives can crap out. Magnetic tape loses it. Optical disks degrade over time. It will happen with magnetic bubble, and holographic, and whatever. Something didn't get copied from old to new, and now you can't read the old. Shit just happens.

Virus. Ooops, there goes all your long-saved family photos and your insurance and suchlike, and goddamn what a pain in the ass it is to get it all together again. Do you remember your email passwords? Tough shit if you don't, and tough shit for the older emails too.

EMP pulse. Some terrorist or whack-job sets off something in a town or city. Everything electronic within a few blocks gets wiped. Including the government records of you owning X property and the bank records of you owning Y money.

Massive EMP pulse caused by a nuke in the stratosphere. Goodbye every piece of unshielded electronics in the hemisphere.

The Sun does a coronal mass ejection which just happens to hit the planet. Kiss it all goodbye. This happened back in the late 1800's, killing telegraph operators and causing massive currents in the earth. Goodbye every piece of unshielded electronics on the planet.

Go back to building our technology up from the 1920's once more. Assuming that we even know how. How much of that shit is kept electronically? Oops, catch-22 right there...

But we don't need to go that far.

Look at the modern viruses - WannaCry, for example, just this past weekend. Someone took CryptoLocker and fucked around with it and put out their own version. Though from what I heard, there are some...problems...if you do pay the ransom. In that, you still don't get your data returned to you. By design or fuckup? Who knows?

We have Stuxnet out there. Take some completely retarded anarchist. Marry things together, set it loose, leave it to spread itself for a couple of years. Then the payload goes off. All of a sudden, every bit of information is encrypted - or worse, just plain scrambled.

In the old days, the authority was physical. Physical encyclopedias were IT - every house had one. Libraries were IT - every town had one. These days? It's electrical, ephemeral, can be retconned or modified at will. Easily, like when someone manipulates the media to make a few million in the stock-market, or the media crucifies whoever it decides would make a good spectacle.

We take it so much for granted. A house built on sand? Fuck that, a world built on sugar. All it needs is a splash of water and it's all gone.

Without the electronics and records and suchlike - what then?

I've about talked myself out again, for a while. Time to go and do other things. Black Poison Soul, Crap-Colored Glasses™, signing out for a while.

Laziness vs Insanity

I ran across a thread on /r/MGTOW about a man who swore he would never work with women again. Reading his horror-story (and similar from the various commentors) I can totally understand it. I've noticed it myself, where the stinking admin team (and the finance team) where I work is infested with these pieces of whining shit. (See my post on "She wants to be stupid" for an example.)

To be blunt, women are a cancer in the workplace. If every woman was summarily kicked out of the workplace there are plenty of men who would be happy to step up to the plate and do worthwhile work there. It would also save a lot of wasted time and effort for the businesses involved.

Since that's not going to happen, men who avoid these types of workplaces are doing their bit to destroy the companies involved. This is a good thing. Do your best to enhance that decline and collapse of the unfit.

From a higher level, looking over the workplace and social landscape, I see:

Laziness: The expectation that others will do all the work for you.

Insanity: The expectation that lazy people will change.

Neither is true. Thank God!

Dying or Growing

What many people still do not realize is what the entire BS about the Brexit and American Election is actually about.

Now, us out here in the desert of the real world know it in our guts. Even though we can't articulate it that well, we know. It was a choice between growing or dying.

Originally I was thinking it was a choice between stasis and growth. Something about that seemed wrong, though. A little bit off. After all:

* the telecom bust

* the dot-com bust

* the (massive) property (and banking) bust

These three things by themselves wiped out a good chunk of an entire generation's savings in the past 20 years. With those savings went a good chunk of that generation's hopes and dreams.

That situation wasn't even remotely stasis - it's things getting flushed down the crapper. Getting measurably worse.

So Hillary promises no changes "business as usual", while Trump promises changes. Hillary promises to continue the destruction that's happening, Trump promises to start things growing again.

No real surprises why Trump won. Despite the overwhelming BS from the media, despite the delusional conviction of the Leftists that everyone who disagrees with them is insane and A Bad Person™, the average person could see the writing on the wall.

This simply proves that Leftists are insane or mentally defective. To the point where they probably should be locked away for the good of society, like any other sick and deluded psychopath.

See, sensible people are all about reality. Try something, if it doesn't work, try to figure out why and/or don't do that any more. (Like jamming your fingers into a power-socket or leaning on a red-hot stovetop. Sensible people learn, generally quickly.)

Leftists are incapable of seeing reality - they can only see the warped and twisted map in their head. This makes them incapable of learning. When they try something and it doesn't work, they just do it again. Over and over and over. Doubling down on their delusions every time.

Pure definition of insanity right there, doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

It's no wonder that they have the urge to wrap the world (and themselves) in cotton wool. It's a defense mechanism. That way they can continue to delude themselves that Rotheringham never happened, Cologne never happened, the gang-raping of a young boy in Norway never happened, the rape of a young girl in Idaho never happened, and pizzagate never happened...

I throw in pizzagate just to add another search-result to the pile out there. I don't seriously imagine that we'll ever learn the truth of all that. Far more likely that a few people will quietly disappear or the like. I do think that there's some serious shit going on with it, though.

Just like the whole Obama's birth-certificate fiasco. The issue isn't anything to do with if Obama was born in the USA or not - the issue is really why did those fuckers in Washington feel the need to lie about it?

Also, what else are they fucking lying about?

Because that bullshit - an officially-released document that is revealed to be a forgery, no less - completely, finally, and totally undermines all credibility of the American Government. When it comes to anything and everything, they will lie and cover it up. They cannot be trusted in any way.

Swallow that bitter black pill down, America. Keep a very close eye on Trump and co. I think that we will find out within 3-6 months what the next 4 or 8 years of Trump's term(s) will be like. Also, the remainder of our lives - and those of any children, grandchildren, et al that you may have.

Will America continue to die? Or will it start growing again? Will the West be dying or growing once more? Ditto for society? Will we be able to stand once more and stride confidently into the future? Or do we hunker down and passively resist an overwhelming tyranny?

Stasis as a civilization, as a society, is impossible. You can't balance on the edge of a fucking razor-blade, you will go one way or the other. Despite the mental delusions of Leftists and Feminazis, what is currently happening cannot stay as-is: it must change, for the better or worse.

No matter how much teh wimminz scream and howl and bitch about it, if it should go against their delusional desires - it will be done.

So somebody's pooped up on FaceCrap a petition focused on stopping sanctions against sole (aka single) mommies (page contents copied here):

We are calling for the removal of Sections 176, 177, 178 from the Social Security Legislation Rewrite Bill.

These sections impose a weekly sanction of $22 or more on beneficiary sole mothers who have not identified the father of their child. This sanction (in its current form of Section 70A of the Social Security Act) is putting into further hardship families already struggling to survive.

Currently there are approximately 17,000 children in Aotearoa New Zealand for which this sanction is imposed. Of the 13,616 parents, 13,298 are women, and only 318 are men. 52.8% are Māori. This policy severely disproportionately effects women and Māori.

We request to the House of Representatives that the entirety of the provisions set out in Sections 176, 177 and 178 of the Social Security Legislation Rewrite Bill, which enable sanctions on the benefits of thousands of sole mothers and their children, be removed from the bill and from legislation.

Why?

Because they (the govt) are starting to pull back from the behavior which has encouraged 49% of New Zealand's children being born to single mommies. (A parasitic plague upon our society.)

Eventually they (the govt) will have to cut them off. There won't be any bloody money to hand over to them. Why We Decline

Mostly it boils down to not understanding reality. Living in denial, Can't Understand Normal Thinking, etc (the joys of Leftism and Feminism and academia that focuses upon Liberal Arts and feelz instead of the hard facts of science and reality).

Davis Aurini has an interesting article on Technological Illiteracy and Wireless Power Transfer - about how his novel "As I Walk These Broken Roads" is really set in the present, not in the future. Because the population of the world lacks curiosity:

...sure, they might have skills that can be easily transferred to motorcycle repair, building maintenance, electrical grid setup, you name it - but they'd rather rely on exhaustive, brute force to accomplish tasks than spend five minutes thinking of a new solution.

This is so much people these days that it's not funny. Despite all the rah-rah "think outside of the box" buzzword crap spouted by businesses, they simply don't. If you think outside the box, you are either punished - or you get so sick of having to toe the line that you say fuck it and get the hell outta dodge. Or go do your own little startup on the side.

Business is ossified.

Aurini uses wireless charging technology as an example, about how the inverse-square law reduces the energy available the further away from the charging-source you are. So as an example, if you have a very large induction coil (bifilar, perhaps?) and say that 6 inches/0.5 ft from the coil you have 1kw available. Go to 12 inches/1 ft and the energy available isn't halved, it's 1/4 - ie you get 0.25kw or 250 watts of power. It gets worse from there.

Of course, this doesn't take into account that that is just *one* side of the coil - the same amount of energy goes out the other side. By definition, at least half the power you're throwing into this form of "wireless charging device" is thrown away. If you're lucky you get something like 80% efficiency for the charging side - only it's halved, 40% efficiency, when you realize that double the power is used in the fields and half the total power is automatically wasted. (Short of a cradle that sandwiches the thing between two phones or the like - then you'll get closer to your 80% overall efficiency.)

Wirelessly charge your car? Fuck no! Plug that piece of shit in.

This is the sin of our modern civilization: we don't understand reality. We don't take the time. We don't look. As Aurini states, we have lost - have punished out of ourselves - the curiosity which makes us spend 5 minutes thinking about another possible way to attempt to do something.

This is my small and very incomplete attempt to show what needs to happen now to advance our civilization to the next level. Even the one beyond that. Math and some science is involved. Will we do it? I think not, not for our current civilization! Not with our social obsessions with the Karcrapdians and Mz Jenner!

Perhaps the next civilization will get their shit together enough to reach the next stage - though sometimes I wonder if they will have enough basics left over from the opportunities which we are squandering at a high rate...the risk of total collapse of our species is very high in my opinion. We may end up as eternal Easter Islander's on a ball of semi-contaminated rock floating around the sun.

The basic rise and development of civilization has generally involved the harnessing of energy. Human muscle was first, probably coupled with simple nature: water (near-frictionless transport) and wind (free though intermittent energy). Fire, like burning wood and charcoal. Using animal muscles to draw loads (near-frictionless transport with the wheel on decent, flat roads).

Multiplying the effects of muscles with levers, pulley's, the wheel. Multiplying the effects of fire with steam-engines, then internal combustion engines. Hydroelectric dams to harness the rain (powered by the sun). Tidal dams to harness the tides (powered by the gravitational energy of the sun, moon, and orbit of the earth). Windmills, ditto. Geothermal energy, drawing upon the natural fission processes that occur in the depths of the earth. Developing new sources of energy: fission, fusion.

One reasonably fit male laborer produces about 75 watts of power. That's right - the same amount as the old 75w incandescent lightbulbs you used to buy. A properly-harnessed-and-yoked horse or oxen produces about 746 watts of power (1 horsepower): 10x what a fit male can manage.

Here is a short list of how much energy you get from fire, depending upon the fuel (the oxygen in the air is basically free-to-use, though we toss the crap byproducts of burning into the air):

* TNT = 4.6 megawatts per kilogram (that's right, bugger-all ain't it)
* Wood = 16 megawatts per kilogram
* Protein = 17 megawatts per kilogram
* Coal = 24 megawatts per kilogram
* Ethanol = 26 megawatts per kilogram (this weak shit is supposed to replace gasoline?)
* Gasoline = 44 megawatts per kilogram (a middle finger to the ethanol fuel industry)
* LPG = 46 megawatts per kilogram
* Diesel = 48 megawatts per kilogram (which is why trucks use it)
* Hydrogen = 142 megawatts per kilogram (but it takes electricity to produce from water)

Sobering. Diesel, LPG and Gasoline are generally the easiest to find, we just dig them up from the ground - purify a little - and ship the stuff around to where we need it. Wood (and charcoal) is relatively clean, and we used to use a shitload of it - until we started running short, then we switched to coal and all the crap byproducts it has in the form of smog and sulphides and the like.

Hydrogen? That's good, right? The only by-product from burning it is water, like rain and the stuff you drink from the tap? Forget it. You still need to create the stuff, and that takes electricity - often gotten from coal-fired plants. You'll be burning at least 6kg of coal to get 1kg of hydrogen, depending upon how efficient your energy-conversion is. It's only useful as an interim chemical energy-store.

We are reaching our limits of density for easy chemical-energy sources and are badly in need of the next-generation of energy supply. Sure, we can dig more up - from deeper - as our technology improves, etc etc etc. We can continue to throw the burned byproducts into the air we breathe. At about 7 billion human beings on this planet, we're in the early process of drowning in a cesspool of shit that we're sitting in and filling slowly while we take a hundred-billion fucking duckface selfies a day and press the "like" button on FaceCrap as we go.

We need to step up to nuclear - probably fission first, then shifting up to fusion as soon as we figure out how. Which thought is where Leftism on the whole and the greenies and academia in particular start screaming and vomiting out stanzas of insane hatred. A purely emotional reaction, rather than looking at cold hard reality. The cold hard reality that is maths.

Reality: 1kg of U-235 (atomic mass of 235.044) is 4.255 moles or 2.562E+24 atoms. The U-235 fission-chain averages to 215 MeV (at 1.602E-13 watts/MeV) of energy release per fissioning atom¹. Start doing the multiplication:

2.562E+24 * 215 * 1.602E-13 = 8.826E+13 watts

AKA:

88,260,150 megawatts per kilogram
88 terawatts per kilogram

Which if you can fission the lot of that in under a second gives you about a 19 kiloton atomic bomb. It's more useful being burned slowly though, and holds the equivalent energy of roughly 3,677 tons of coal. While having loads less crap left over and pumped into the atmosphere that we breathe. (Yes, radiation and actinide wastes and secondary radiation, etc. Yes, you can't fission every single individual atom. It's STILL less physical amounts of crap, only a few kilograms vs kilotons.)

Our next step up is fusion: 1kg of Hydrogen-1 fuses to 0.993kg of Helium-4, the remainder (0.7% or 7 grams) turning into energy via E = mc² and a big thank-you to Einstein for the easy math. When we multiply things out:

0.007 * 3E+8 ^ 2 = 6.474E+14 watts

AKA:

647,400,000 megawatts per kilogram
647 terawatts per kilogram

Or a bit over 7x as much as good-old U-235 fission produces. There's also even less crap waste products from the process.

But we're still babies yet.

The old Saturn-V that took America to the moon burned several metric shittons of chemicals to get into space, to the moon, to land, and then come all the way back again. Stage I: 770,000 liters of kerosine and 1,200,000 liters of liquid oxygen. That just got the basics of the thing (130 tons) into orbit (for comparison: that's about 10x 20' containers with 10 tons of cargo in each of them - we put hundreds to thousands of containers on a container-ship and there are hundreds of container-ships going around the world). Kerosene has a hair more energy than gasoline: say 45 megawatts per kilogram or 37 megawatts per liter according to Wikipedia. Doing the math: 28,490,000 megawatts/28.49 terawatts. A bit under a third of a kilogram of uranium in terms of energy. Just to get ten containers into orbit, once.

You could plate everything you send into orbit with platinum, the energy-cost is going to massively outweigh the value of the item. Which most people don't grasp, so that's why peeps get shitty with NASA for thousand-dollar hammers and wrenches. That's nothing to the cost of actually getting it up into orbit, plus the damn things need to be able to withstand vacuum-welding and extreme heat/cold variations.

You want to get those 10 containers from the orbit of Earth to the Moon? On a regular supply-run basis, say for a moonbase? Chemical shit doesn't cut it. Even nuclear (fusion) barely manages it, and you need something better than Newton's laws of action-reaction too (unless you are willing to wait months to years per container - or use something like Project Orion/Daedalus).

Too bad for solar power from orbit, being beamed to the earth. Getting each station up there is prohibitively expensive for fuck-all return in comparison. Star travel? Like in the movies, or in what is considered SF books? HAH!

We can get bigger, though.

The greenies go on and on about "sustainable" and "renewable" energy. They're actually on to something, though not in the way you'd think. These things are all minuscule driblets of energy from the biggest fusion-reactor we have around: the sun.

The sun sends energy our way all the time, powering plants and the atmosphere and seas and rain and damn-near every speck of life on the surface of this planet. This is the equivalent of 1.362 kw per square meter up in orbit, less at the surface. The armchair academics get all gooey-eyed and dribble on about shoving huge solar arrays into orbit and microwaving power down to earth - see above for the energy requirements per plant.

However, there is one interesting thing: the entire planet is a huge-ass solar array that is 6,371 km across - bigger, when you look at the ionosphere. Reach out there to tap that, as pie in the sky as it sounds, and you get yourself a ginormous amount of energy. Using the old pi-arr-squared formula:

3.1415 * 6371000 ^ 2 = 127,512,357,201,500 square meters

* 500 watts per square meter (very inefficient) = 63,756,178,600,750,000 watts

AKA

63,756 terawatts of energy every second, 24/7/365

That's what they call a Type I civilization.

Commentor RmaxGenactivePUA Mgtow put up a comment on my last post, with a link to /r/MGTOW about the Red Pill Rage. It's worth reading, though much of a rehash of what I've written about already (I do my best not to repeat myself too much). At any rate, a refresher is always welcome.

In there is this statement:

After all, not all women are shit - probably 20% are quite alright. Very well-trained and understanding of what keeps the kind of civilization and society they like going. Willing to put the effort into it. The other 80% - well fuck, they're engaged in their race to the bottom. Pity that they drag everyone and everything else down into the shithole of the third world with them.

Now which is which? 'Cause they're not "good" or "bad", they're just women, with varying degrees of proper toilet-training.

Somewhere fairly recently, I read about Silicon Valley - the high-tech nerds there are creating the next-generation of "social integration apps", yet their personal relationships are self-destructing or failing to launch.

Fucking ironic when you think about it. These people are so near-autistic that they can't form proper social bonds, yet they are attempting to create platforms to facilitate social interactions. Laughable.

Now look again. As a society, here we are attempting to shove our children into an X-shaped box so that they become "just like" Silicon Valley nerds.

Materially successful: making money so that they can buy lots of shit that they don't really need to live. (Though it sure is good for a parasite woman.)

Socially disastrous: incapable of being socially connected. (This makes it easier for a parasite woman to socially isolate and manipulate them.)

Societally destructive: the wrong kind of example of what people should aspire to, who are also developing "new" methods of forcing others to interact in given ways - just like they do, or rather don't. (This helps parasite women achieve their dream of cash-and-prizes without fear of social retribution from these obviously-defective males.)

Talk about everything being crippled by definition.

Spiraling inwards, intensifying, until the ultimate going up their own orifice and imploding - taking society with it.

Social Abandonment

So I'm reading in a pop-sci magazine (half the supposedly-scientific articles are "you go grrrl" oriented flim-flam and bum-fluff).

I'm reading the letters at the end of the magazine, 'cause it's an education reading what the 99% of retards in the world think matters.

One retard has a whinge about the billionaires going all-out in the space-race, first man on Mars, that kinda shit. He contends that they're all morons who should really be putting their money into doing something about making cheaper energy, yadda yadda yadda. I guess he didn't hear about Bill Gates funding Thorium Reactor research.

Here's a clue: Renaissance thinking is long-gone.

With the destruction of our social cohesion has gone most of the thinking which involved uplifting your fellow-citizens to a higher level of existence. They are no longer interested in making the town, city, country a nice place to live for all.

Another Reason Why This Generation Is Fucked

This is my generation (GenX), the Millennials, and those going forward.

To illustrate, I will have to start back with my youth. At this time a house cost $30-40,000 while the average income was $10,000 a year. This was the source of the old expectation that a house would cost 3-4x your yearly income.

Fast-forward to now. Where I live, you are lucky if you can get a house for $400,000 - pretty damn high. Yet has the average income climbed to $100,000 a year?

Yeah, rhetorical question. It's more like $55,000 a year.

So now houses are 8+x your yearly income, pretty-much across the board. Sure, if you live in Auckland or Wellington and sell your house (at a high price) you can come here to buy a cheaper house (for $500,000). Which is what's happening.

Now, there are some perks to living very near a beach area - one is that if you have managed to get your feet onto the property ladder, and you manage to keep going without getting fired or quitting your job, then your property is constantly going up with value/inflation/price-creep. Pick a combination of all three, just hope that you aren't forced to sell at the "wrong time" in the ponzi-scheme which is housing.

Now think of all these youngsters who've been lied to about: "Get a good job, get married, get a house, have children, when your children move out, retire in comfort." And all kinds of variations of this.

Damn hard to get together $40-80,000 for a deposit on a home these days.

Damn hard to chuck 50+% of your after-tax income into the mortgage.

Damn hard to give children a decent home life when you're forced into working all hours to make ends meet.

Damn hard to do it solo while she's being a "stay-at-home-mommy".

Damn hard to do it while she's spending up large.

Damn hard to do it while she's abusing the crap out of you because you're just another useless man.

Damn hard to do it when she fucks someone else, divorces you, gets half of everything, kicks you out, gets maintenance, gets child-support, and has the IRD chasing you the *instant* that you get into arrears. I hope that you enjoy sleeping on a couch in a basement or in a van down by the river.

You can do your thing, you can get yourself set up, you can have the world by its tail - and after 20 years of sweating it you can still be fucked.

The Real Collapse

If you go over to ZeroHedge and have a look-see at the moment, you will see several signs that society is going down the shitter financially (as opposed to it being caused by teh wimminz, which is the usual focus of this blog). Some examples:

• the chinese stock-market crashing on the first trading-day of the year
• Nassim Taleb (of Black Swan fame) stating that banks will be generally okay, but watch out for commodities slumping and taking down businesses and economies
• lots of hedge funds are closing up shop after being hammered in 2015
• apparently Puerto Rico is basically like Greece in America - plus Illinois, Connecticut, Hawaii, New Jersey, and Kentucky are also in big trouble (their debt, pension, and retiree healthcare payments are way way way more'n they bring in in revenue)

Financially, life works like this:

• Income $1000 - spending $900 = saving $100 and happiness

• Income $1000 - spending $1100 = debt $100 and getting deeper until going bankrupt, ending in misery

Those states are of course getting deeper in debt and going bankrupt, and are gonna end in misery. Like Greece, things might seem swimmingly awesome until they hit the wall and smash and someone has to think about picking up the pieces. (Those pieces might include your suddenly-divorced and starving ass, if you live there.)

So why's this happening? It's most likely because of all those lefties, wimminz, and assorted other assholes wanting a free ride and voting accordingly. So das guberment who has been voted into the feed-trough obliges with a few crumbs - after all, they already got their snout deep into the gravy. Might as well keep it going as long as possible.

I don't think this is what's going to cause the collapse though. While it's bad, it's not enough. It'll go *splat* and the government will bail them out, all your sins are forgiven, etc. You don't need to eat cardboard any more, we'll put you on a steady diet of government cheese. Too bad about your bennies, they're now wiped clean, gone for good, even though you actually paid for them in advance.

So over the weeks and months and years, my brother and I talk about lots of things. Usually about stupid government, stupid business, stupid wimminz, stupid business, stupid people, stupid business...there seems to be a lot of stupid in business these days...

Example:

Many years ago the arse fell out of the timber market. The big boys in forestry shitcanned a whole bunch of their forestry workers, drivers and loggers and sawmill workers and the like. No work for you boys, down the road. We don't care if you starve. So those guys had to find other work, got family and all to feed.

Of course, the downturn ended and the big boys in forestry went looking for their forestry workers and couldn't find anyone who wanted to work for them. They'd all found other employment, and if they hadn't, would you want to go back to working for a bunch of wankers who shafted you like that? Fuck off mate...

They were stuck with finding new, younger workers and training them. Okay, that hurts, but what the hell. Then a few years ago the arse falls out of the timber market, the Chinese have millions of cubic meters of NZ wood sitting around on their wharves, nobody wants any more. No work for you boys, down the road, etc...

Example:

A while back, a lot of forests were sold outright to overseas consortiums (probably including the Chinese, the NZ government loves-loves-loves asia). What do they do? Come in and clear-fell everything in sight, bugger off with all the wood, creaming themselves at the massive profits. Former forestry land, which used to get replanted for the next generation of sustainable trees, was suddenly an eyesore.

Erosion, runoff, rotting pine branches in piles, all that sorta thing. What's gonna happen to NZ when the next generation of goodness-knows-what needs wood? God alone knows, 'cause none has been planted, plus the ground that was held together by trees is getting washed down the rivers into the sea...buggering up the arable land, fisheries, less forestable land, and anyway the tree takes 30 years to grow which time we won't have when we need it next...

Example:

A while back, Fischer and Paykel (they make whiteware) shifted over to Malaysia because it was cheaper to make the whiteware there. Effectively they became a multinational, creaming themselves at the massive profits they were making off slave labor. Until all of a sudden there's a downturn and they come to the NZ Government cap-in-hand for a handout so that they can cope until the next upturn.

This is a fucking multinational company, turned their backs on NZ and NZers, yanking money in from all directions, suddenly trying to act as if a bailout would be of benefit to NZ. No, it'd be of benefit to your stockholders and the Malaysian's you assholes employ, not the NZers you used to employ...and fired so you could make vastly more money with slave-labor...

So yeah, stupid in business.

A couple days ago, my brother and I got to talking about how stupid businesses are. In this case, his particular employer. An engineering works, they've been trying to get new people 'cause they've been short-staffed and overworked for quite a while (there was a downturn, you see, and they fired a bunch of engineering staff...)

So they've been trying and trying to hire people, often out of polytech's, who have the basic theory but their practical is as useless as tits on a bull. So my brother has to train them to do the job properly, give them the experience, which takes time plus watching over them to answer questions and correct mistakes, which means that less product is getting made by said brother and newbie here isn't making up the slack yet let alone more...

So things are getting behind and they're screaming at him, and he's saying: Look, do you want this new guy trained? 'Cause I can train and do partial work, or do full work, but not both train and do full work, something's gotta give. And this lot of business-owners are too stupid to understand that, they want the new guy to magically have all the skills that are needed but they'll still pay a pittance because he's new, and they don't want production to fall off, and they're wondering why they're not able to cream it as they've been expecting, etc.

Like I said to my brother: They won't be getting anyone with skills because the apprenticeship system which trained people with skills was shitcanned by business about 30-40 years ago. In the meantime they've been working with the oldies who are now retiring, so everything's falling apart business-wise thanks to their prior stupidity, and they're too damn stupid to see that.

Which of course, is one of the reasons that poverty has gone from 15% to 29% in the past 30 fuckin' years ay...no training and skills and therefore cannot work, etc...and the rise in deadbeat women who are fuckin' deadbeat guys and becoming single mommies over the last 30 years which has gone from "stoning offense" to become the "socially acceptable" norm, in fact they praise her to the skies now.

Because after all she's not really finding anyone with even a basic wage, let alone some guy who hasn't been turned into a pathetic SNAG. And she's wondering where the guys like daddy are, only daddy just got fired too, and mom's losing her mind and divorcing daddy, and her frenemies are driving her nuts, and she's nuts and manipulative anyway, and her standards are both shithole low and sky-fuckin'-high, and...

Yes, I know, it's way more complicated than that. It's a bit of the puzzle though, slapped into place. A contributor to the mess.

So what's the mentality behind this situation? In a word: cheapness.

Business wants everyone and everything interchangeable. Because interchangeable is easily replaced, therefore they can pay peanuts, and hey if you don't like it fuck off and we'll import some slave-labor from India to do your job via a mysteriously higher allocation of H-1B visa's that magically came into existence this year just for us. Or we'll outsource your job to slave-labor in China, Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan...lobbying, what d'you mean lobbying...

Which is why, as Uncle Bob and Captain Capitalism and others have noted many times, real wages have been static - and in many cases have been going backwards - for the last 30-40 years. Join the dots there yourselves.

So of course, with everyone effectively being interchangeable with anyone else in management's mind, then nobody's job is safe. Which is why Mr Cunt from the last post has his frantic death-grip on the network, making everyone's life hell, and he's so determinedly happy-dappy and smiling all the time while he kisses management's ass. He's deadly afraid and wants to be indispensable.

As Anonymous noted, yes, sometimes the bile must be expressed. It's that or explode and punch someone's lights out - an instant dismissal offense. While technically I'm living in a house worth close to a half-million, easily $300k left over if I sell up and pay the mortgage off, at 50 I don't feel like jacking around trying to find other work or trying to live off that $300k for the rest of my natural. Especially given the stealthy inflation rate going on at the moment, something like 7% as a minimum.

Another symptom of this mindset of cheapness in business: just-in-time. Just in time manufacturing, most specifically. Also "just in time" getting something working again before you start having to pay penalty rates, which explains the craze for outsourcing IT work. Sign this SLA, right, now get us working within x hours or you start paying us a million bucks a day which is what we're losing if we ain't up and working...

It's like all the Telecom linesmen are suddenly not employees, they're individuals contracting out. Which makes the Telecom management cream themselves because suddenly those contractors have to provide their own tools instead of us providing them. Plus we don't need no emergency gear laying around gathering dust...they now have to keep them on-hand...cheap cheap cheap...

The just in time mindset manifests in other ways too. Just barely having the staff required to do the regular day-to-day stuff. Pushing off maintenance on plant (equipment like trucks and forklifts and machine tools etc) because hey that shit never breaks down in the beancounter's mind...no fat in the system...no time for staff to get desperately-needed training, we can't be arsed hiring someone new with the skills, so we'll outsource to another company to provide necessary skills...

Then suddenly *splat* and they're spreadeagled like a bug on a windscreen wondering what the fuck just happened. Hey, that was a "perfect storm" event! Our risk assessments said the chances of that were like 0.0001% chance that a gnat will go supersonic and take out your left nut, and we had the bad luck to hit it right when there was no slack in the system at all...

Yeah. Right.

Cheapness. Nickel-and-dime cheapness. Run everything on the ragged edge, seeing how close they can go and still cream as much as they can outta the business. Engines, people, screaming along at 120% maximum safe load for weeks, months, years on end.

This is not a case of Captain Kirk taking a risk because he knows that the engines have a safety-margin built-in: "All ahead Warp Factor 9!" and Scotty screaming: "Captain, ye canna do that, the engine's'll blow!" This is Warp Factor 11 all day, every day, 24/7/365 as a matter of course and Scotty is sighing and sitting on a stool in the engine room and squirting oil on the engines to try and cool them down. While gloomily looking at the warp core and the anti-matter tubes and wondering vaguely if the wire and bubblegum will hold the shit together for just one more day.

We were running at 80%, now we need to go to 90% for a couple of months and so-and-so will have to do without training this quarter. Wait. We actually need to go to 130% for a couple of months?

Social Deconstruction: Seeing The Darkness

Ask most young women what they bring to the table to deserve commitment from the guy of their dreams and you will likely get a blank stare. Probably the first thought would be "isn't my vagina enough"?

I truly wonder though, if she has realized one thing. It requires utterly irrevocable commitment on women's part as well.

Are they willing to bring that to the table? In a non-revocable way? One which cannot, ever, be overturned in the future - for whatever reason, no matter how ostensibly-good?

Until that is a part of the package placed upon the table, in a matter utterly believable to all (including the badly-burned) men - then it is nothing more than an empty mouthing of pretty-sounding platitudes.

Women have not changed. Young women have always had the instinct to be disloyal. It is in their DNA. However, for most of civilized history, society and law put a check on those instincts. Divorce and affairs had great social stigmas attached to them. (Affairs by men less so, because even a "straying" man usually supports and protects his wife and family. Abandoning them was also met with enormous social stigma.) However, divorce and affairs initiated by women now have little or no stigma attached to them and are often celebrated. So if you are waiting for women to "see the light", you'll be waiting forever. It is society that has to change, and I don't see it changing for the better anytime before the collapse. And that might not come for a hundred years.

Females have spent decades if not centuries deconstructing the social and legal limits upon their sex. As you say Robert, they will not be interested in "seeing the light". Which makes the entire post of hers an empty moo-ing of platitudes, designed to soothe certain sectors of men and keep them quiet.

Society will not change. Society is composed of women and those besotted with women. These vastly outnumber those who (like us) consider themselves to be capable of seeing the crap coming down the line. We can shout truth to the skies and nobody will listen, because they have a vested interest in not listening and not changing.

In her gut, every woman knows that she will survive. Even if men starve to death, she will eat. Even if men fight and kill each other, she will still be around and her genes will continue - mixed with the victor's. Since society is comprised to overwhelmingly favor women and most men have a similar mindset of favoring women, then women will continue to be coddled and protected at Men's expense. She doesn't care if the man she "bonds with" (aka marries) dies. She will still survive.

In the end there is always someone willing to fuck her even if she's butthole ugly. Even if it's just to get his rocks off when he's blind-drunk. Even if he's already got a wife and a couple of mistresses on the side (just look at Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bill Clinton).

We are in a slow decline and collapse, it will not be sudden and earthshaking. Barring some absolutely revolutionary method of education or breaking down willful barriers in the mind, I can see nothing happening in a hurry. I cannot imagine such a technology coming into existence. So things will simply continue as-is, getting worse and worse.

A while back I posted up a video by Sandman, about the collapse. He stated that he saw women in Belgrade, upping their competition for men with money. This type of thing is what will happen as the West collapses.

Only after the collapse is basically complete will the survivors force and enforce a moral system upon their women. Will this be out of a desire for civilization? Hell no! It will be because they're jealous and brutal bastards who no-fucking-way are going to share "their" women with anyone else.

This can be a bitter pill to choke down. I think that many amongst the MRAs willfully blind themselves to this overall dynamic. I think that the PUAs can see it, so they decide to take advantage of it. I think that we MGTOW can see it, yet can't be bothered taking advantage of it - there's nothing worthwhile in it for us.

Omega Man: Hardwired to betray? Not necessarily hardwired. Trained would be a better word. When someone has been trained and shown and validated their entire life, when the social and legal limits have been removed, it simply becomes female bad behavior. It can and will eventually be held in check once more, whether because of a system of rebuilt social disapproval or a more brutal "step out of line and you're dead, cunt".

Women's Bad Behavior Isn't Going Away Anytime Soon

My last post was about "hypergamy" actually being bad behavior that is not being controlled and trained out of women.

In the video of Sandman's, he stated that women upped their (female) game in Belgrade when things turned to shit and the infrastructure started collapsing. Instead of becoming more austere they were competing more intensely with each other for the fewer men with money.

Look at Feminism: when the lies start getting exposed, did it wither away? Hell no! Instead the crazy cunts doubled-down on their bullshit.

Then we have the Women Against Feminism meme going on, which is basically a bait-and-switch to lure men back into thinking "oh she must be a NAWALT!" and get entrapped by them again into marriage and life-long slavery.

(Actually you are a manipulative idiot playing victim. You're just being more subtle about it by saying that you're not a Feminist and equating the two. You're desperately trying everything you can to lure and entrap a man into being your slave-male for life. Sadly: some people will believe your unconscious lies.)

Given the observed training-from-birth for girls these days that turns them into: entitled, narcissistic, bitchy, selfish, BPD/NPD, slutty little whores.

Given the observation that they're not actually changing themselves, they're just "saying" that they reject a now-despised ideology. (Feminism is the new leprosy.)

Given the observation that women's behavior doesn't actually change, it simply becomes more intensely competitive when things go to hell.

This exposes even more thoroughly the "it's all about me!" entitled mindset of women these days. When things go to shit, they don't change their mindset. They can't. It's still about them. All of it. So they will double-down and intensify that mindset.

If/when societal collapse comes, whether slow or fast: these entitled nutjobs aren't going to reduce their expectations in the men in their lives. Fuuuuck no! I deserve it!

If we observe the 80% of semi-desirable women chasing 20% of the (in their mind) desirable men now, do you think that's going to ease if/when things go to shit? No, it's going to become 90% of semi-desirable women chasing 5% of the desirable men.

I would not be surprised if society changed so tremendously that it started to look something like:

1 desirable man -- with 10 semi-desirable women -- with 100 slave-men (the second-string slave-men)

I would not be surprised if outright soft-harems became socially-acceptable. The desirable men (big bucks and charm) each having 10+ slutty chicks in their rotation that they fuck whenever they feel like it. Each slutty chick having 10+ slave-men in their rotation that they get favors, money, and validation from. This female (and male) mindset isn't going away any time soon, it's become ingrained into the mentality of society already.

It's like when Moses and the Israelites wandered the desert for fourty years. They didn't do that because "God told them to", they did it until the last vestige of slave mentality in the Israelites died off. Then they were no longer slaves and went on to beat the shit out of some people and take over their lands (some scholarly interpretations of Herem, "the ban", translate it as total destruction of the enemy - ie genocide).

Is the entitled mentality and bad behavior of modern women going to be altered quickly (at all?) even if things go to complete shit in a handbasket ultra-fast? No. It's going to remain as-is for many, many generations - at least two, probably a lot more. It might happen quicker if things go so thoroughly to shit and hardship that men completely lose patience with these entitled whores and beat the entitlement out of them.

I wouldn't hold my breath for the last bit: a large number of men are sackless pussies and mangina's these days.

So a summary of where this leaves the next few generations of men: basically screwed. They're unlikely to breed. If they do, they will be becoming voluntary slave-men for their whore overseers. Not a pleasant thought at all.

Disregard Society

You can basically figure that 99+% of society is bullshit.

It's a very simple observation, plain enough if you're willing to actually open your eyes and look at it even semi-cynically. If one person is supposed to act in X-manner and gets crapped on if they try to do something else, while another person is allowed to act in whatever manner they choose without any consequences - there is one hell of an imbalance there.

Especially if Person #2 gets held up as a shining example of wonderfulness, no matter what crap they might happen to do or come out with. Especially if Person #2 gets given the get-out-of-jail-free card "just because" they are Person #2. Especially if Person #1 is expected to support Person #2 no matter what.

Imbalances get taken advantage of. Either deliberately and with thought (often in games, I've done it many times myself - in fact I like to look for the crack where I can insert the crowbar and twist) and sometimes accidentally as opportunity presents itself.

Am I saying that society was set up deliberately this way as some kind of overarching plan? No - I don't believe in that kind of tinfoil hat bullshit. General stupidity and greed is way more likely the culprit than deliberate malice and machinations and some oogie-boogie overall plan. 'Cause in my view people just ain't smart enough overall to come up with a plan to deliberately cause this bullshit to come into being over several generations.

What I do think is that there was some basic opportunism which happened. Things were noted, were enhanced, were built upon, were taken advantage of, etc. One card stacked upon the next, and the next, and the next - until the entire stack is as shaky as hell and just needs a few more cards placed on top in weird-ass places to unbalance things more. Then it'll require only a tiny little tremor to set off the chain-reaction of everything falling-in socially.

So where does this leave us? With a system that is basically broken as-is. I personally think that it's too damn difficult - probably impossible - to try to fix the system to something better ("fairer"? hah!). I don't think that there's a hope in hell of rolling it back to the more original, non-fucked system. Especially when Person #2 has a sub-rosa vested interest in the status-quo, if not fucking it up more. So what can I do about this?

I can say "screw it" and go do my own thing.

I can disregard society as a whole, leave it hanging and swinging in the wind. Eventually it'll kick itself to death. Especially if a whole lot of other disgruntled people look at it, roll their eyes, and say "screw it - I wonder if the fish are biting".

If there's nothing holding it up, it'll fall down of it's own accord. Especially if the more bloody-minded and angry People #1 types give it a couple of departing kicks in the appropriate places on their way to the fishing-hole. Knock out some of the very few remaining props. Suddenly kaboom, smash, thump, and a mess of cards everywhere with loads of People #2 looking around dazed and stupid.

"Hey, what happened?"

"You were stupid damn sheep and broke it. Now do you wanna try something a bit more workable - or would you rather cut your own wrists instead?"

I wouldn't be surprised if a good number of them just slit their own wrists. So many of these stupid damn sheep are too proud and unbending for their own good. (You could say the same for People #1 too - although #1 is generally the powerless screwee where #2 is generally the empowered screwer. All that #1 can realistically manage is to do is do their best to avoid #2 as much as possible.)

Either way the problem gets solved.

Hire-A-Hubby and Demographic Decline

For all the Femicunt whores out there who proclaim "we don't need a stinking man" - you are correct.

You can now hire a husband for a time, to do the basic maintenance on your oh-so-lovely designer home.

Yes, you no truly no longer need a man to ruin your perfect lifetime of bliss and ease and ultra-competence. You can hire a substitute to do all the grunt-work around the house. Being a peon/hireling/slave, so long as you are paying him - you get the bliss of being able to order him around without compunction.

I consider this to be A Good Thing™. To explain: now that there is no work for the average Joe male, he can actually hire his fixing and what-have-you skills out to women.

As a man he no longer is required to compete in the "workspace" that feminism has so successfully invaded with their "you go girl" and "you can have it all" memes. He can leave all that soul-draining work to teh wimminz. Instead he can do what is most fulfilling to his inner self: building (or maintaining) something physical that will actually last and has solid worth.

Yes, he can drain teh wimminz of their oh-so-hard-eared-cash. Using that to fund his (sexist) minimalist lifestyle - well away from her.

On a more serious/less sarcastic note, I see from Unca Bob's Treehouse that Russia has a demographic time-bomb on it's hands. It boils down to them not having enough babies to keep their population up, to the point of losing several million people by 2050.

Interesting when you consider that much of the Western world is the same. In fact, the only thing bolstering the population of Western countries seems to be immigration.

Look at Japan. Demographically they already have widespread MGTOW (the Grass-Eating Men) and they're getting Crazy Cat Ladies (the Dried-Fish Women). Why do the Dried-Fish Women exist? Because:

1. absolutely nobody desires them as they are
2. they're too set in their ways (and lazy?) to change to something that is desirable

End result: demographic decline, far ahead of what's happening in the Western world. Currently there are schools which have been shut down, in the small towns. Eventually it is projected that entire towns will simply be abandoned.

Towns of now-deceased feminists, leaving abandoned designer-homes for the dregs and drug-dealers and outcasts to squat in - until their un-maintained walls fall down?

Sandman is correct, the collapse begins on the periphery of civilization. The outlying (rural) areas go. Parts of the inner areas go (Detroit?). Eventually the rich-and-privileged (and pampered) will end up living like Kings while around them the desperate and homeless are kept out by the walls of their gated communities. Long-term even the Kings will decline, as there will be no peon's to maintain (or grow) their technology.

Brings a little amusing thought to mind: property prices. On the periphery they will fall as everything declines. In the center they will continue to grow, as the richer and privileged haves crowd out the have-nots. A natural selection in towards and away from the centers of power and "culture" that we call "civilization".
